A Vista or any other OS' DVD can be made easily, provided you have an Acer laptop with the OS whose DVD you want to burn. Acer comes with its Empowerment Technology which includes eSettings, eNet, ePower etc. Among them is the eRecovery tool. This is a tool that helps us to make a backup of a drive with the operating system it contains. (This functionality, I think, is not available with other backup utilities). Just use this tool and burn the drive to a DVD. I do not need to write all the steps as it is quite simple. A Vista Home Basic backup shall require about 2DVDs or 8 CDs. Note: Use the backup just in case you need to format the drive. Do not use it on an other computer.
