Google Chrome: Use a Command Line Switch to Open in Incognito Mode

Starting with version 0.3.154.6, you can use a simple command line switch to open the browser in Incognito mode. This means you can easily create a shortcut and not have to rely on javascript tricks to get the privacy you desire.

1. Copy the Google Chrome shortcut that you normally use to your desktop.

2. Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.

3. In the Target text box, go to the end, insert a space and then input the following:

--incognito

4. Click the OK button.

5. Rename the shortcut Incognito Mode.

Now use the shortcut to open your browser, you will be in Incognito mode.
